Each year, many alumni want to reserve a room at the Alfond Inn for Alumni Weekend. In fact, so many alumni call to request rooms on the day registration opens that the Inn fills in minutes and the phone lines become clogged. In order to make the reservations process more equitable, a new system will launch on June 15, 2018 for Alumni Weekend 2019 reservations.
Registration will open on June 15, 2018 at 9 a.m. EST through a reservation system at rollins.edu/aw19. All entries will be time stamped. Only one registration per household to reserve one room. Throughout the month of July, the reservations staff from The Alfond Inn will call those in order of their registration to book one room with a credit card. Registrants will be given several days to respond. Within the order of registration, preference will be given to Alumni Award recipients, trustees, Alumni Board members, members of the Order of the Fox, and the Class of ’69. You still MUST register your interest, but if many alumni register at a similar time, choices will be made according to the criteria above.
No payment is required to register. Room reservations may not be transferred or sold. A positive ID matching the name on the reservation must be presented at check-in. The registration site will remain open until June 16, 2018 at 8:59 a.m. EST. Standard room rates apply.
