From Yosemite National Park. The moss is actually red, brown, and yellow. It is currently unknown what exact type of moss it is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n<p>Reeve traveled to Yosemite a decade before it became a national park.<sup>2<\/sup> At the time John Muir, the father of modern environmental science, was become a fixture there.<sup>1<\/sup> This was part of the 1870 Yale Geological Expedition.
