My favorite activity I did while in Spain, was spend a weekend in Barcelona. The city was everything I imagined and more from the amazing Gaudi architecture to the most beautiful church I’ve ever seen. The La Sagrada Familia in person was one hundred times bigger and more extravagant then I expected and the fact that it’s not even half way built yet is mind blowing. I will definitely be returning in 2026 when it is supposed to be completed! Both the outside and inside of the church were designed to every last detail and it was truly amazing. There was reasoning for every structure on the church, for example, there were four towers dedicated to the four evangelists, three façades dedicated to the life and teachings of Jesus, twelve bell towers dedicated to the twelve apostles, and finally the second highest tower is dedicated to the Virgin Mary and the highest, which hasn’t been built is going to be dedicated to Jesus. The other activity we did that weekend was visit Park Guell with all of the Gaudi architecture which looks somewhat similar to the architecture in the movie The Grinch. Another experience we had while traveling to Barcelona was taking the fast train, which was a fun experience and I high recommend it!
