Last night, June 26, I was lucky enough to get the chance to see “The Lion King the Musical.” Oh my goodness… it was amazing, fantastic, and incredible. However, the best part was, it was all in Spanish and I finally realized how much I actually learned on this six-week trip. From the time I walked through the door, till the moment I slowly walked away from the theater, I was dazzled, awed, and so happy to have been able to see this show. Not only did I get to see my favorite movie brought to life, I got to see it in a new city, a new culture, and a new language. I did not think I would know so much of what they were saying, but surprisingly I was able to follow along and even sing along. It was such an amazing and unforgettable night and a great way to end this six-week journey. What a way to put my knowledge to the test! I defiantly recommend, if anyone loves theatre, to see a play while here. Not only is it a story to remember, it is in Spanish and allows one to recall what was learned this entire time.
I love the Lion King! So glad you were able to realize how much you have learned on your trip. Thanks for sharing.
