If my time here is as good as the gelato i’ve been eating (every day), then i’m in for a real treat. Münster was not what I was expecting, but what ever is? At times it’s quite warm, and the next day it will be raining all day. Aside from the occasional dull weather, Munster seems to be a pretty well developed town for how seemingly old some of it is. The cobble stone is the first sign of the ancient time Munster was built in, and of course there seems to always be a grand steeple looming above of some old cathedral or church amongst the younger more bustling shops and businesses.
My rear end is becoming flat from the tedious bus rides, but I love the town that my host person lives in. Irmgard lives in Neinberge, about forty minutes outside of the city central. I pass everything from the Altstadt, more modern areas, and also farm lands. It’s just beautiful. Irmgard has also set me up with a very comfortable living space, which erased a lot of my apprehension once I arrived after a hectic 48 hours of traveling.
I arrived safely, and I’m so excited to see what the next three and a half weeks have in store for me!
I thank god that my host was able to lend me a bike, otherwise I would be bored to death on those busses! Thankfully the bikes also double as a mode of exercise so that I can stuff my face with bratwurst with slightly less guilt.
Yum, enjoy some gelato for me! What’s your favorite flavor? Hope you’re having a great time!
