Dear followers,
This past week was amazing and both individually and collectively fulfilling. Individually, I have greatly improved my German and can actually hold a conversation with another grown person. Collectively, we have been exploring different parts of the city and aspects of life here in Münster. In the past week we have traveled to Köln and viewed the Kölner Dom as well as watched Deutschland sweep the world cup championship away from Argentina. These were two momentous events for myself and our collective group. Also I have recently changed host families due to verbal and philosophical differences with my old host family. My new family blow the later out of the water and is truly an ideal fit for me.
I am hoping to further improve my Deutsch and also force myself to speak German to friends and strangers from now on in order to fully immerse myself in the language. One week has already done so much for my vocal abilities, I can’t wait to see my progress come August. I have also met many new friends from all over the world. They include a brit named Wilfred, a spaniard named Hugo, many new swiss friends, and a Japanese man named Tenko. I really enjoy my professors and they seem to be really patient with me.
This coming week I want to trip to other parts of Europe or maybe White water raft on the Rhine. I also want to include myself in more Kapito activities because I have only attended one so far. I also want to keep up with events and obligations in the USA. I will be adding video to this post later today to better communicate my experience to you all.
What is the Kölner Dom. Can you tell me more about it?
Sounds like you are really enjoying your experience! Way to take advantage of practicing your German and now you will have friends all over the world who you can go visit. 🙂
