Yesterday was the last day of orientation, we got to see what classes we got in and when they are. I, luckily, got into a class about architecture in London and a class about Britain, I can’t wait to begin those two courses and learn more about the history and culture in London. I also have no Friday classes and my earliest class is at 10 am, and I couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity this gives me to travel around London as well as take weekend trips to other places.
As an added bonus, as part of orientation, you could purchase an afternoon boat cruise today, Saturday, on the Thames for a discounted price. I, along with a few of my newfound friends did this, and it was amazing. We were given afternoon tea aboard the boat and the tour lasted about two and a half hours cruising up and down the Thames. It was so beautiful, and we got to see a lot of the sights along the river. My personal favorite was the Tower Bridge. I can’t wait to go back and actually visit it on land.
Needless to say, the last two days have been going much better than the first couple, and I am much happier that I am here, however, I still don’t have my luggage. But, I have been able to borrow the necessary items from others until it does arrive. I am so thankful that there are others who are willing to help me out and I don’t know what I would be doing without them. And with the week coming to a close, I am excited to begin classes and really start my adventure in London.
