By the end of February, I felt that I knew the city almost as well as I know Orlando. I knew how to get anywhere I needed to go, within reason. I knew that I could figure out any part of the Underground, even without an app, simply from the maps in the stations and if it was after midnight, I knew the 94 bus goes straight from my flat into Piccadilly Circus, and pretty much anywhere I wanted to go from there was walkable. I had explored, at this point, Shepherd’s Bush, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Soho, and Oxford Street. I had my favorite restaurants, cafe’s, clubs, and roads to walk on.
I met someone who I started dating and he lives in Brighton. Brighton is one of the most beautiful cities in the United Kingdom and I loved going there to visit Reuben. It’s very quaint and very picturesque in some places, and in others, it’s bustling. The Lanes are a couple of streets lined with interesting and quirky shops. The pier is your typical tourist amusement park with restaurants and thrill rides. I went there for Valentines Day weekend and had a very romantic break from the busy London life.
