My character is a German man, age 25 in 1939 living in Berlin. He comes from a wealthy family and is a member of the Nazi party.
I chose this character because he is my polar opposite and I believe it will be an interesting experience to delve into such a different perspective. The Berlin at War book has been a great guide to how his life was like.
I’ve been granted omnificent powers in this assignment and they are going straight to my head. I did some research and his name will be Max Bühler. He is going to be Josef Bühler’s nephew – Josef was State secretary for the Nazi-controlled general government in Krakow during World War II. In chapter four (Marching on Their Stomachs), it is mentioned that one of Berlin’s most affluent neighborhoods was Dahlem so my character would live in these luxurious villas. He would have also been affected by the blackouts because. All Berliners, regardless of class, had to abide by this policy and were susceptible to the domestic accidents (but not so much outside assuming they had employees that ran errands for them).

I like how you have linked this to a real person. Maybe we’ll get to Dahlem.
