Parque de María Luisa
Catedral de Santa Maria de la Sede (Christopher Columbus tomb)
Hola!
This past weekend I embarked upon a weekend trip to the lovely city of Sevilla. After classes ended on Friday I hopped on a high-speed train, and in less than 3 hours we arrived in Sevilla! It was significantly hotter in Sevilla, with a high of almost 41 degrees Celsius! I spent most of my first day in Sevilla exploring Plaza de España and María Luisa Park. If it wasn’t so hot, I could have spent hours exploring both locations! The scenery in María Luisa Park was not something to miss! I had the opportunity to explore several of Sevilla’s greatest monuments including the following: Parque de María Luisa, Plaza de España, Catedral de Santa María de la Sede, and the Real Alcázar. The cathedral is the third largest cathedral in Europe and the largest Gothic cathedral in the world. A highlight of the trip was getting to see the tomb of Christopher Columbus in the cathedral. This trip was by far my favorite experience in Spain so far! I hope I will have the opportunity to return to Sevilla someday in the future!
Hasta Luego!
