Hola!
Last weekend I had the opportunity to visit the beautiful city of Segovia for the second time during this trip. The first time I was able to see the Roman aqueduct of Segovia and the Alcazar of Segovia, which was Walt Disney’s inspiration for Cinderella’s castle at Disneyland. This time I got to experience a different aspect of Segovia. I visited my friend’s country home 20 minutes outside of Segovia. The property contained almost 1000 horses! While I was there I went bike riding, played basketball, played cards, and “tried” to pet an Alpaca. My favorite part of the trip was riding this majestic black Stallion pictured below! After our eventful day, we went to a restaurant near the Roman aqueduct for dinner. The streets were crowded with locals and tourists, since there was a concert that night in front of the aqueduct. Lights from the concert illuminated the aqueduct making it look even more picturesque than normal. Our night ended with ice cream and fireworks! Days like these are the reason I fell in love with Spain during the past six weeks. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in the Verano Español program. Crossing my fingers I will be lucky enough to return to Spain in the future!
Hasta Pronto!
