During our six week study abroad in Madrid, our entire class took a weekend trip to a very small town called Candelario. It is a mountain town with some very incredible views. Our trip consisted of many group meals, a quick tour of the town with a local, a trip to an abandoned town that was absolutely beautiful, some pottery making and two very fun nights at a local restaurant near where we were staying. We got to hangout with some locals and they were all very excited we were there. One made a comment to me how he hangs out with Rollins students each year there. It was so incredible to know that our college could make a yearly impact on people from the other side of the world. I am so grateful this trip is planned for the Verano program. It is a nice break from Madrid and a great experience to learn more about Spain.
Thanks Spain for a great 6 weeks 🙂
