So my first week of classes at the University of Sydney was this week and I can honestly say that going from 2,400 students to 50,000 students is a little intimidating. Taking forever my classes and sitting in huge lecture halls really made me realize that I am truly not at Rollins anymore. My first class was Business in a lecture hall of about 50 students, this wasn’t too bad and I am really excited for what the class entails. One of my classes though has 160 students in it! Yesterday I sat so far back that it was hard to even hear the teacher. At Uni there are lectures and tutorials, the lectures are huge where the tutorials are smaller and when you’re supposed to participate. It is interesting to me because I have never experienced anything like this. My graduating class in high school was of 35 students so being a small fish in a big pond definitely is new to me. I also had some difficulties with my classes and wanted to change some. Lucking I got all of that sorted out and I am ready of syllabus week to be over so I can actually get a feel for the classes I have selected! Attached is a photo of school!
