Well, here it is! The day is finally here. The day I have been both looking forward to and trying to prolong. Tomorrow afternoon I fly to Boston to meet up with my roommate, Dina. I am so excited to see her and to see Boston, as I have never been there before! I am excited to explore a new city before we fly to London on Sunday night.
There are so many emotions associated with such an exciting opportunity as studying abroad in London. London has so much to offer, as I have been reading and hearing plenty about things to do, places to see, and people to watch. I am looking forward to learning about and immersing myself in London/European culture, including the history, arts, entertainment, business, music, food, thought, and more! However, it can be quite overwhelming navigating in a new place and learning all of the ins and outs of the city.
I have honestly had one of the most amazing summers, if not the best summer ever. I cannot believe how fast the time went, but with a lot of travel, love, family, laughs, food, and more, it is no surprise how quickly the time moved along.
For me, it is difficult to face change head on, but rather than fearing it, I must embrace it.
I love what you said about not loving change, but not letting the fear of it stop you! I’m the same way, and pushing through the fear is well worth it, I promise! I can’t wait to hear all about how much you are loving London.
