Well, it’s official, I’ve been living in London for almost a week now and I’m loving it so far! I’m getting use to living with five other girls, all six of us get along and have numerous things in common concerning our hobbies and interests so it’s been really fun! The flat is small but absolutely functional. It’s located in the beautiful Earl’s Court area, Longridge to be exact. This area is very quiet for the most part and seems to be very safe with an abundance of pubs, food stores, gyms, and other fun shops. Overall, I am in love with this area! It’s also an ideal location because it’s only a ten minute walk to class and a 20 minute commute to my internship!
London is a beautiful, big city, thus public transportation is a must! What I’ve been getting use to is the tube, I got lost a few times with friends, but it’s been getting easier to navigate and is actually becoming a simple transportation option. Having an oyster card to get on the tube is efficient and makes traveling that much easier. What is tricky is the bus transportation. This is because you have to find a stop that goes to where you want to go and it can become difficult especially at later hours of the night. Considering I’ve only been here for six days, I have a lot of time to become a pro at public transportation.
So far, so good! I can’t wait to explore more of London!
