The passed two weeks have been fun and busy, just as all the weeks seem to be. Picking up from my previous post, Saturday October 10 my boyfriend came into town. We had planned on staying in an Airbnb place, however upon arrival (and due to previous situations) we decided that it was not going to work out. So we stayed in Covent Garden instead that night after dinner and booked alternate plans for the next couple of weeks. During the week we kept up with our usual routine: class and work. Although I have to say it was quite difficult to carry on with daily activity knowing all of the other sights and things we could have done instead. Seems to be a familiar theme I have noticed…
Wednesday night we went on the London Eye. It was absolutely amazing! Such amazing views with the best company. I enjoyed going back to some of the places I had already been to. It gave me a chance to observe further detail as well as appreciate the sights even more. Friday we went on the CAPA Paris trip for the weekend. What an amazing adventure! There are several similarities and differences I noted between Paris and London, but I am so glad I decided to go on that trip. I enjoyed being a part of the culture, even though it was for such a short time. Ultimately, traveling to these places was a dream of mine and I made it a reality. There are no words to truly describe the feeling. The Eiffel Tower, The Louvre Museum, and countless food places and shops. Sunday night we headed back to London and were supposed to get back by 10 or 11, but we were delayed three hours on the Eurostar because immigrants tried to pass through the English Channel. It was a late night, but luckily Monday after class I finished my Finance paper just in time.
Here I am this Friday evening. Justin and I are in Ibiza for the weekend! We are already having an amazing time and this place is so beautiful. It is interesting and surprising to see such varied terrain on this one island. I love exploring new places and I love traveling. What a great way to start off my Fall Break!
I will be sad when we head back to London because time has been going fast and it continues to do so. I am already half way through this semester and it is crazy. And these past couple of weeks with my boyfriend have been wonderful as always. Such a special time and experience. Seems like just yesterday, though, I was on the tube on my way to meet him at the airport…
The rest of my break will be spent in Rome with my parents! Then on Friday we come back to London, where I will show them around the city. I may or may not see Justin before he goes back to the States, but I know I will see him again soon.
Well our flight this morning was at 7 am, and we only got a few hours of sleep the night before, so I think it is time to go to bed.
As always, check out my pictures on Facebook! #laurengoestolondon
