recently, i have gone to baryon bay on a Rollins trip. The trip was very organized and fun, but the highlight would have to be skydiving. Though this was not included in the trip by Rollins, we had free day to do whatever we wanted. For some crazy reason, I thought I should take advantage of this time and jump 14,000 feet out of a plane.
Flying up in the plane with a plastic door on the side was not even the height of the terror. When I asked my guide if we were close to jumping as we were flying through clouds, he informed me that we were about half way up. When we got to the top, they opened the door. I saw other people jump out before me. Finally my turn, I was instructed to sit on the edge of the open door with my feet hanging out. My guide pushed off out and we immediately got sucked out of the plane and began to free fall. Once out of the plane, I was not scared anymore. The free fall was the best part, as we were just falling out of the sky. He released the parachute and we continued to land safely. It was honestly the most unreal thing I have ever done. I could see all of Byron Bay and the ocean. It was beautiful.
I addition we got to go snorkeling and surfing. We had meals at restaurants that were really good. We also went to the lighthouse which is super famous. I also took part in an Australian tradition- eating a mango and burying the skin in the sand.
