While in London, I knew I wanted to travel and venture out, so fall break allowed the perfect amount of time for me to do so. My friends and I found a Bus2Alps program that allowed us to travel to Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam, Brussels, and Paris! October 23rd-November 1st, 10 days of non-stop traveling by bus was in the near future and we couldn’t have been more excited!
So the day finally arrived where my 3 friends and I had to leave for the airport at 1am, take a bus to the airport where we would fly to Prague to meet the rest of the group. Starting out with no sleep wasn’t the best idea, but who needs sleep…
Anyway we arrive in Prague and it is beautiful! This was my favorite city I went to while on fall break! I loved seeing and signing the John Lennon Wall , it was truly a work of art. Also, the architecture was breathtaking and not to mention the warm dough cinnamon/sugar masterpiece, “turtlenecks” were to die for.
The next city was Berlin, which was a great place filled with history and excitement. I enjoyed seeing the Berlin Wall and getting a glimpse at a Holocaust Memorial sight.
The 3rd city was Amsterdam! This was unreal, as I got to experience things like climbing on the famous “I AM AMSTERDAM” letters, walking through Anne Frank’s house, and participating in the Heineken Experience. What was really fascinating was the amount of people who rode bikes. Bikes were everywhere! Dodging bikes kept us on our feet!
From Amsterdam we made a pit stop in Brussels where of course we had waffles with Belgium chocolate. Also, we walked around the local area until we drove off to Paris!
Although I already went to Paris during my time abroad, coming back was worth it because I got to experience different things. For one thing my friend and I took a day to go to Disneyland. This was one of my favorite days because it was a familiar place, but with small, exciting changes. My friend and I spent the whole day there and it was worth it!
Overall, by the end of this trip I was exhausted to say the least, but getting to explore 5 cities with close friends was truly a blessing!
