The final week in Belgrade I spent much time packing, and repacking just to make sure that I had everything ready by the time I had to leave the city. I did not have much time to ponder about the great concept of things, and what had just passed over upwards of three months ago.
I was, however, able to look back and just grasp a little of what had passed. I met 13 other amazing students, some of which I will surely see again, I met 5 amazing instructors and many other guests, and most importantly I met some amazing people from Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Furthermore, I stayed with an amazing home-stay family, and my experience would have been drastically different had I not met them.
On the plane ride back is when I will have time to recall, and debate the past three months on a more intrinsic level. It is when I will recognize some aspect that I perhaps missed. I will look back on the travels to countries from which my blood comes from; then, and only then, will I realize the significance of the trip. That, however, I will leave for the final post as I look backward to my first.
