On my previous post, I talked about the basics of Ramen and in this I am going to present to you a list of the Ramen places I have been to (and remembered). Although I have problems with memorizing the actual name of the Ramen shops, here is a brief but adequate overview of the best of the bests that I was able to find and share with the world –
@Tonkotsu (Pork): Ramen Stadium in Fukuoka, the city known for the best Tonkotsu
@Chicken and Fish Broth: A Ramen store close to Fushimi-Inari Station, highly recommended
@Tomato: 5 minute walk from Hirakatashi station
@Close to Kansai Gaidai University:
1. On the right of the gate towards the station across the side along 7-11 there is a Ramen store with THE best shio (salt) and shoyu (soy sauce) Ramen. The old man brings his salt all the way from Kyushu for his couple of hundred years old Ramen recipe. They also have mild-Tonkotsu Ramen
2. On the left of the uni after Sukiya (a Donburi, beef rice bowl place) there is another Ramen store with a homey feel owned by an old man
3. Two Ramen stores across each other below the Ring building at Hirakatashi station
4. EXTRA AburĂ Soba right across the university. Soba is another Noodle dish which is not Ramen but equally tasty
@In Fukuoka: Hakata Ramen, Ramen Stadium
@Ramen Chains across Japan: Ishinden, Ippudo
@Close to Yamadaike Park: Two Ramen shops fairly close to each other
@Close to Yamadaike Park (EXTRA): There is Kappa Sushi, a sushi store with a conveyer belt style service, close to the park and also Coco curry, Japanese curry chain. Nearby you can also find McDonalds, never been but “You’re welcome” to my American friends.
