There are so many words that carry a great deal of importance in the German language. To an American studying abroad, there are a few that are important to committing to memory before setting foot on German soil. An important adjective to know its billig. Billig means cheap, and it is important to know what stores are billig. After all Germany is an expensive country. A verb that describes Münster all to well is Radfahren. Münster is the bicycle capital of Germany and everybody has at least one. Like all of Germany, Münster is very friendly to der Hund or the dog. The plural is die Hunde, which comes on handy since dogs are everywhere. But is that a bad thing? By all means no. For the Rollins students in Münster, Die Schule is very important. After all we students spend most of our time in die Schulen, Rollins and Kapito respectively. Finally, one important noun worth memorizing before is der Mensa. We college kids have to eat too! College cafeterias (Mensen) are an important meeting and eating place for college students.
