These last three remaining weeks in Spain has been absolutely amazing. After enjoying the first three weeks, I thought that this trip couldn’t have gotten any better but boy was I wrong. Since then, I have been able to travel throughout Spain a tad bit more where I had the opportunity to visit Candelario, San Sebastian and Coslada. Not only that, my Spanish has improved immensely to include my academic studies at Don Quijote. And lastly, I have been able to try a lot of new Spanish cultural activities here, whereas I have been able to fully embrace the Spanish culture a lot more.
Although each event that I attended has lefts its on my on me, I think that the event that stood out to me the most was The Flamenco Show. Flamenco is one of the most characteristic elements of Spanish culture, especially throughout the southern region of AndalucĂa. Both flamenco music and flamenco dance involve a great deal of personal improvisation which takes its form through the spontaneous expression of the performer’s emotions at each moment of the performance. Being able to attend an event like this, I truly felt as if I was embracing the Spanish culture. Overall, the culture events within the last three weeks, in my opinion made me really embrace the Spanish culture a tad bit more.
