Living in Spain for the last 6 weeks has turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made. Before this trip, I had only left the country on a Caribbean cruise, let alone traveling alone to Europe. I have always considered myself a good spanish speaking, but through this experience my confidence level has increased so much, along with completing my minor in a language that I love. Not only the beautiful scenery kept me interested, but also the culture. Its incredible to notice all the differences between our own culture and that of Spain. The city life style always kept me on my toes and always gave me an opportunity to explore and discovery new and exciting things. One of my favorite things about Madrid was how many parks there were. If you had a free afternoon on a cool day, eating lunch and sitting in the grass was one of the most relaxing things.
I am incredible thankful for this amazing opportunity to study abroad and learn a language that I appreciate far more after this trip.
