I’m writing this post a bit early because this weekend I will be headed to Queenstown! I’m so excited to be in the adventure capital of the world with a big group of my friends. I plan to go luging down a mountain with some people since I’m too afraid of heights to bungy jump, oh well, I’ll still have an awesome time!
Anyways, these past two weeks have been a bit slow, but had some much needed rest. After hiking Harbour Cone two weekends ago, my Kiwi host invited me and my flatmates to get some injectable donuts, yeah you read correctly, injectable. You get to choose what filling you like and they serve you a spherical donut and syringe filled with your flavors of choice. Definitely one of the best donuts I’ve ever had. We then went to an awesome art installation called the Obliteration Room by Yayoi Kusama. Colorful polkadots everywhere!
This past weekend, a couple of friends and I took a long walk to Ross Creek Reservoir. Along the way we spotted a beautiful waterfall and had to take a closer look. The reservoir itself was beautiful and a little bridge would take you out to the middle of the water.
Today, I went with a friend to go look for a sturdier rain jacket for Queenstown and hiking during our semester break. I ended coming back home with a sick ski jacket! Guess I should start learning how to ski! All I have between me and Queenstown is a 9am class and 3 hour drive. Till next time!
