Queenstown was incredible!! We got to luge down a mountain (some of my friends went bungee jumping, definitely not my style) and we went hiking among snow and WILD cliff-climbing goats. Queenstown is known as the adventure capital of the world, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. We got to eat some great burgers, a 3 foot pizza (don’t ask), explore the quaint little town, look upon a beautiful glacial lake, and make some amazing memories. I’m sad we only got 2 days here, but it was definitely enough to see the town (could’ve done with some more hikes though).
I constantly find myself wondering if this whole experience is real or not. It’s been hard to stay positive lately. Amid rain and cold weather, I’ve gotten sick and haven’t been able to get outside lately. It’s finally 60 degrees outside and sunny for the first time in what seems like forever, and I’m stuck inside, missing lectures catching up on Netflix, and telling myself that Spring Break is just around the corner!
10 of my closest friends (all from TEAN) are going on a South Island road trip! I am so excited to be able to see the South Island with some great people. It’s going to be nice to travel again. It can be hard to travel on the weekends here because of weather and the distance of everything. But, now that we have a whole week I will definitely make the most of it.
