Freaked out a little bit this morning when I realized this post a but late! I’ve been hit with a cold these past few days so my mind is a bit scrambled at the moment, but I’m still alive and well!
Queenstown two weekends ago was amazing! The weather was a lot colder than expected but it was amazing to see all the snow-capped mountains and being able to hike through the snow was definitely an experience. Quick tip, don’t try hiking through the snow in Nike Free Runs, you will slip and fall multiple times, I know from experience. A couple of friends and I also did a mountain luge where you ride this little low-riding tricycle of some sort down the mountain. The wind speeding down the mountain was relentless, but the views were spectacular! That weekend, all my friends and I also went to a western style bar and rode on the mechanical bull. I’d have to say I think I did pretty well on it!
The rest of these past two weeks have been pretty low-key, just studying for midterms and writing papers. I’ve also been trying to save money for my upcoming road trip around the South Island for mid-semester break! I’m so excited to spend 10 days of just pure exploring with good friends. A bunch of other people from our program that go to school in the North Island will also be joining us and I’m so excited to be reunited with them. Anyways, I’ll definitely have a lot to say after the trip, so until next time!
