Ciao!
My name is Kelly Farrell and I am going into my junior year at Rollins. I study Art History, row on the college’s team, and eat food with my friends. This year will consist of much of the same, except the first three and a half months I will be in Rome and I leave tomorrow morning. I am very excited about this and just finished going through my suitcase one last time and making sure it is under the maximum fifty pound weight limit (just barely).
I leave tomorrow morning and still find it hard to believe. For the past two weeks I have been laying on my couch watching all my friends snapchat stories at school wondering why I am not there. Maybe wandering lost along the cobblestone streets of Rome it will finally hit me that I’m in one of the most beautiful and historic cities in the world! There are so many things I am looking forward to, most which fall under the category of either food or art. A couple things I am nervous about is not having all the necessary documentation or forgetting about something that is completely obvious and necessary. However, I believe I am prepared and am looking forward to immersing myself into another culture and taking advantage of this wonderful opportunity. Next time I write I’ll be in Rome!
Arrivederci!
Kelly
