I leave for Ireland in just four more days. The trepidation and excitement are increasing ever so much as the days seem to fly by. I remember applying for the trip months ago and imagining how surreal it would be to spend four months in another country. Not only another country but one as amazing as Ireland. My perception of Ireland has always been positive. Not only is the country beautiful , at least from what I have seen in pictures and in the movies, but Ireland is full of kindhearted and lovely people. To spend three months in such a glorious country seemed like such an unachievable dream. Even to this day it is difficult to imagine that I have been so fortunate as to endure such a journey.
Needless to say this summer has been the longest of my life. Many months of planning, listless packing, somber goodbyes, endless hours of work and much celebration has consumed much of my time. Though the next four days still holds much more planning, packing, the more sorrowful of the farewells, increasing anxiety and still excitement, I can say with confidence that I am ready. And so my journey begins in merely four days…
