Ciao, since I forgot to post my pre departure I guess I feel the need to update people on whats been going on before arriving in Rome. I was visiting family in Ireland and England for a month before arriving in Rome. I was able to adjust to the time difference and change, and the “European Lifestyle”. They were fun because I was getting anxious for Rome.
Rome, Rome is a place that I can’t begin to explain the beauty and culture of this place. I was snap chatting one of my friends back home while I was on a bus tour and saying “don’t you wish you were here..” ” my life is more lit then yours” and so on because I kept taking pictures of each monument we saw. But, every corner we turned was another famous landmark it seemed… I was unable to reload and take another picture because everything we saw was just, simply beautiful.
I love the culture in Rome because everyone seems to really care about what they do, they care about their jobs, their friends, their family. Everything is here and now for these people which has been the biggest culture shock for me. People are living in the moment more here, and that is a positive shock. Rome is unreal.
Ciao Ciao!
