I arrived in Oviedo, Spain a few weeks ago and I’m having a great time so far. Adjusting to the lifestyle in Oviedo was not too difficult to get adjusted to and I felt right at home within the first few days. Oviedo has rich culture and exciting, exploring the city made me love it more and more. The people of Oviedo are so friendly and easy going. The first week I visited Gijon, which is a beautiful city that has a beach. Gijon is interesting city because it has a strong roman historical influence. The next day, we hiked a Monte Naranja, which had an incredible view of the whole city. The following week, we visited Salinas Beach. Salinas is a quaint beach town, but is the most gorgeous beach I’ve visited so far. The festival of San Mateo in Oviedo also began that week, which is a 10-days long. The festival had concerts spread throughout the city and carnival rides, both of which made the atmosphere lively.
