Ciao,
A couple of friends and I just got back from a very relaxing trip in Santorini for the week. We spent time cliff diving, ATV riding, watching the sunset in Oia, eating gyros and taking a very strange transportation system. Their local buses consisted of 2 men and they would come in a coach bus, not a typical transportation bus, but again a coach bus and yell and ask where you were going. Then hearing them pronounce all the Greek downs through out the island was entertaining. There were many old people from Scotland and England as it was the end of the season, and it wasn’t uncommon for the Greek bus employees to make fun of their accents. Greece was a wonderful time.
We came back well relaxed, but are now ready to hit the ground running. Presentations and papers are due, people are trying to cram in some late trips to places across Europe but everyone is broke as hell at this point. I just had to cancel my trip to Barcelona, as I am taking a trip to Austria to go snowboarding for a few days in Solden (where James Bond was most recently filmed).
This trip is just a dream and I don’t want to wake up!
Arrividerci,
Patrick Rhinehart
