Hey guys!! I cannot believe I am sitting here writing this. I have a little over 2 weeks left in Dunedin and it is starting to sink in that pretty soon I will be back home. The past week and a half we have had no classes in order to allow people to prepare for their final exams. Unfortunately, all of mine are at the end and I have been finding it hard to focus and power through the material that I need to study.
Since I last wrote a blog post on Milford Sound, my trips out of Dunedin are over. Because of this, 3 friends and I took the opportunity this weekend to explore a track that is on the Otago Peninsula. We got there through a little one lane road twisting and turning past corners – needless to say there were a couple of close calls with vehicles coming around the other way. Once we got to our destination (had to go off roading for a little bit) we pulled over and started trekking through farmland in order to see Lovers Leap and the Chasm. It’s beautiful scenery with the ocean right there and really cool rock formations. After we were done taking it in, we hiked the other way in order to make it to our car. Little did we know it was all uphill sandy terrain – needless to say we got a quick work out in! I can’t wait to try and see other cool things in the Dunedin area before taking on these finals.
Until next time!!
