I was lucky enough to spend the last week visiting Brussels and Amsterdam with my twin. When I read about Brussels, I now know they are not kidding about your diet being waffles, fries, and chocolate. In the past week, I probably consumed about 7 waffles. Brussels had an abundance of chocolate shops that were impossible to not walk into. We only spent a day here, and we hopped on a bus for a three hour drive to Amsterdam.
In Amsterdam, we ended up staying on a boat hotel. It was in the center of town, and had the best view of the canal. Every morning giant swan would poke its head through our window. Amsterdam was a blast. Again, we ate a ton of waffles and fries, but we also got to see things like Anne Frank’s house and the Heineken museum. They had every type of food there, so we ate Chinese food about three times. It was a very relaxed area, and it was big on tourism. There was something different to do every day, and when we did not have a plan, we walked in new directions. I highly recommend visiting Amsterdam because it is somewhere you must see in your life.
