Starting this last week our independent study projects for SIT have started and we don’t have a structured schedule anymore of classes and excursions. This is the time where we get to travel and explore Europe a bit, so I took a trip to Paris! It was amazing! The cheese, the views, the architecture, the shopping, the little side streets….all amazing. I also was meeting up with a few Rollins people who had graduated/were studying abroad! This was so refreshing and fun to be with some friends from back home an explore a city abroad together. When we were there the weather was fairly nice and it only rained one day, so we got to see and do a lot for the 3 days that we had. We saw the Louve, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, a ton of gardens and so much more just by walking around all day! It was just like the movies…however, I didn’t find love in the city of love haha. The nightlife was very exclusive to locals, which is different in Amsterdam but it was good to experience a different nightlife and see how French people party. Overall the trip was the best yet, but I still have Rome and Prague to visit this week before finishing my travels! I’ll just be working hard on my ISP while I’m home in Amsterdam and then I’ll be able to focusing on traveling!
