*Flash back*
This trip was very last minute, it was planned and booked all within 2-3 hours on Thursday afternoon. The original idea was to go to Bristol but due to freshers week eveything was completely booked.
The travel time to Oxford was about 2 hours via coach bus and the air bnb was located right outside of the city. center. Our bus tickets were not time specific so it was nice to not feel constrained, despite this we still wanted to leave early enough to get as much time in Oxford as possible. Since I am also the Video blogger for CAPA I decided to take the time to edit that weeks video within the duration of the bus ride.
Upon arriving in oxford I took a major L leaving one of my bags on the bus. After calling the bus company and having them contact the driver, I was able to meet the bus at the central bus station in oxford and collect my bag.
……. oh yea and by the way uber and Citymapper do not work in Oxford so it was a struggle trying to get a taxi.
All in all walking around and exploring Oxford was pretty amazing. There are A LOT of universities located in the Oxford apart from the infamous Oxford university. I’m not sure if it was orientation week or something similar to an accepted students week but many of the universities were closed off to the public , we took advantage of this by acting like students and gaining access inside the universities and their student only spaces.
