On September 22 I went to Marseille for the weekend with two of my friends. They also go to Rollins with me and it was an incredible experience. We went to Basilique de Notre Dame de la Garde which is the highest point in Marseille. The view is incredible overlooking the entire city and the ocean. We also went to The Mediterranean Museum where we learned about the history of the Mediterranean. The architecture of the building is phenomenal and it was designed by the French architecture Rudy Riccioti. The museum is new and was opened in 2013. We went to the Calonq where we had the chance to get in the water. It was a beautiful day and the water was clear blue. We had a nice lunch with the view of the Ocean. I got to try pastisse which was found in Marseille. I also had oysters which are very popular as well. On Friday night we went to an outdoor club. It was amazing given that it was in front of the ocean. I got to meet several people in Marseille. I got to see the small difference in accent the people from Marseille had compared to the ones in Paris. The people of Marseille are heavily influenced by Italians because of its geographical location.
