*flashback*
This weekend we planned to celebrate one of my best friends birthday in the beautiful city of Barcelona. After “careful” consideration for a few weeks (really more like a few days) my friend Brittany decided that is where she wanted to go.
The total of people for this trip was six, including myself.
Three of us planned to arrive Thursday night and the other three planned to arrive early Friday morning. When we first arrived in Barcelona thursday night, we sadly realized that Uber did not exist. Being the only one that spoke spanish, we got a taxi from the airport to take us to our airbnb. When we arrived at the house we contacted the owner and he assured us he was 15 min away. After waiting outside of the house for 40 minutes he finally arrived, gave us a tour of the house and briefly explained transportation around the city.
The next morning we waited for the remained of our group to arrive in order to go out and explore the city. To name a couple places we visited throughout our stay in Barcelona:
– Gaudi Parc Güell
– Villa de Gracia – Port of Barcelona
– La Sagrada Familia – Mercado de la Boqueria
– Viladecans
Some my favorite memories from this weekend were simply being able to walk through the city and discover new places with such an amazing group of people. I had previously visited the city a couple years back so its was very interesting to see the differences, understand more about the culture and go to places I wasnt able to last time.
One of the great highlights from this trip was being able to reach one of the cities highest points of the city and gaining a 360 view. The view was incredible and breathtaking, we were lucky since it was a beautiful clear day.
