Ciao!
This is the last post coming from Rome, how sad is that. I have just over a week left in Rome and it’s so bittersweet. While I am excited to go home for the holidays, I wish I could come straight back to Europe right after.
The past two weeks I have stayed in Rome and wandered the city. Recently I have been busy getting papers done so I can prepare for finals which are next week. I have realized that I am very unproductive when not sitting at the counter top by the back door on the main floor of Olin library with a vent iced caramel macchiato. Sitting in my bed in a convent leads to naps or Netflix. It is also not customary for Italians to sit at coffee shops to do work so there is not another option.
Plans for this upcoming weekend and week will most likely consist of lots of study and eating as much gelato as I can before I leave. With my exam schedule I have the last couple days here free, from next Wednesday afternoon till Friday. Which I am looking forward to spending with the wonderful Ana Rivas who will be visiting from studying in Germany. I am excited to show her around and visit all my favorite spots one last time before I leave. Couldn’t ask for a better last weekend to the most memorable semester!
Till next time when I am in the states wanting a real cappuccino…
