As the final week of school draws to a close, I am still spending time with my Chinese before getting ready to pack my things and head back home. Last night I ate at another fantastic restaurant in Wujiaochang that sells Xinjiang cuisine. It was very similar to the type of food that we had eaten during our trip to Xi’an and was nothing short of excellent. As a side bonus, occasionally there were live dancers dressed in some traditional outfits. I was originally planning to spend one of my last days at Suzhou, a water town nearby to Shanghai. However, I ran out of time. On the bright side, I did quite well on all of my final exams. Not to mention it also leaves more to see. With a country like China that covers such a vast expanse of land and sea, you could easily spend a good portion of your life travelling around the different areas. Lately, the weather has been frigid in Shanghai. I couldn’t read the remote for my air conditioner and didn’t think to ask my Chinese roommate until last night. It turns out that the air conditioners do in fact have a heat function. That’s nice to know in my final days here haha.
