Leaving Ireland to come back to the States was very hard. I was excited to see my family, but I really miss all the people and places I left behind. A medical emergency at home made this Christmas break very hard, but at least everything turned out alright in the end. It’s been great having my family here with me through this tough time. And luckily, I’ll be returning to Ireland next semester to finish out the year. Winter break at Maynooth is very long, much longer than Rollins’, so I’ll be home for the next three weeks. I’m actually going to visit Rollins for a few days before I head back to Europe. I can’t wait to see all my friends! I’m also really excited to go to all my favorite places in Winter Park… especially all the good restaurants on Park Ave. I leave for Ireland the week after, and have about a week before classes start to try and overcome my inevitable jet lag. I’m really excited to continue my studies in Irish archaeology, so hopefully I’ll get into some good classes!
