I’ve hit the halfway point of this amazing adventure, and Spring Break couldn’t have been better!! A 10 day road trip was the perfect way to spend it. 5 girls and WAY too much stuff made for quite the squeeze in a little car..but a trip around the South Island was well worth it! From Dunedin, to Christchurch, to up north at Abel Tasman, then down the west coast to the glaciers and Wanaka, our trip was full of laughs, coastal drives and awesome music, beaches, campfires, and best of all- unexpected people and places.
The theme of New Zealand continues to be “It’s always better than expected.” Just when I thought Abel Tasman would be a quick trip to the beach, we end up meeting a friend’s family and going for a boat ride to an island we had all to ourselves for the day..and just when I think the camp site is going to be cold and in the middle of no where, we end up on a beach for sunset, a huge bonfire, and the most amazing Moonrise & shooting stars I’ve ever seen. It’s hard to believe two months from today I’ll be headed backto the states, this country just keeps getting better and better!
