As the third week of this program is halfway through, it’s hard to believe that we’ve already been in Madrid for 2 weeks! People left and right were telling me how time flies by and although the first several days felt otherwise, it’s reassuring to finally be able to feel comfortable roaming the city’s streets. From architectural museums to trying new cuisines and visiting the capital’s beloved fútbol team, I can say that the latter has been my favorite. I have hundreds of photos of buildings and different scenery and it wasn’t until the third day when I realized that I haven’t included any of myself in them- it’s almost too easy to get lost in its entirety!
We visited the Santiago Bernabéu stadium, home of the Real Madrid fútbol team, where I was captivated the entire time and may have had to hold back on spending every last cent (well, euro) in my wallet. I had the most fun touring the field and taking in the view that players essentially have. It was also incredible to walk down all of the halls and have a visual timeline of their accomplishments and cups. This experience was definitely one for the books and if I’m still being honest… I’m almost 99% certain that I’m revisiting the store before the end of this trip. 🙂
