So far my Verano experience has been fuera de este mundo! Pictures don’t give justice to the beauty that is throughout Spain. I’m so grateful that Rollins has given me this blessing to study abroad. These first three weeks have been amazing but seeing the city of Granada and touring the Real Madrid stadium have left a lasting memory that will never be forgotten. I had the chance to visit the city of Granada with a group of friends for a weekend trip that I wish lasted for a week. We mapped out our takeover of the city and ended it with a beautiful view of The Alhambra at the top of the Albaicin Quarter. The Arabic influence throughout the food and the architecture was amazing. Sadly, we didn’t complete our list of activities but seeing the Alhambra with the mountain range as the background makes up for everything! Granada is definitely a place I would suggest visiting while in Spain and I plan to go back just to see the views again! Absolutely breathtaking!
Being the huge sports fanatic that I am, when I heard we were touring the Real Madrid stadium I honestly didn’t believe it at first! Throughout my life I have been to some great sport venues but the Real Madrid stadium literally blew my mind away! Just to be in the same atmosphere that Christiano Ronaldo plays in gave me chills! Haha! That’s how much I love sports! If I had to choose my favorite part from the tour it would be a tie between seeing the trophies or sitting on the sidelines of the field. Overall the tour was the best culture activity thus far. What made it even better was that weekend of the tour Real Madrid won the European Cup and we got to celebrate with the whole city! HALA REAL MADRID!
