To get some sort of image of the lively hodgepodge that is Camden Market, imagine Hot Topic meets tourist shops, meets fashion, meets Indian market, meets global street food, meets Diagon Alley, and they all came together and had a market baby. And somehow a few additional strands of random DNA made it in as well. Located right next to Camden Lock, the Regent’s Canal proffers a serene contrast to the hubbub and cacophony of the market. Food stalls fill air with tantalizing smells, as the perfumes of nations and cultures fuse and harmonize in a symphony for the senses. Traders of quaint, handmade arts and crafts hawk their wares next to sellers of incense, who are in turn neighbored with stalls of antiques and collectables and across from leather makers, just down the way from the man with crazy hair selling t-shirts with quirky sayings.
