This is a picture of a trip I did to Valencia the third weekend I was in the program. My roommate and I decided to go there after our house mom told us it was one of her favorite cities to visit in Spain. It was a great experience and one of the nicest places I have visited. We decided to go by train and we got to experience the AVE which is considered the fast train here in Spain. Traveling by train was a great experience. When I got there I realized that Valencia is a lot like Madrid; however they have an area with modern infrastructure in one side of the city which is called Ciudad de las Artes y las Cencias. It consists of 3 parts, a museum, an aquatic complex and an opera. This part of the city really surprised me because the combination of the old architecture of the city and the new architecture here gave Valencia a beautiful mix. We also went to the town center where we visited the bullring, the old train station and more. Valencia was a very nice experience and it has also encouraged me to want to visit more cities here in Spain.
