I had an amazing time in Madrid and all the other parts of Spain I got the opportunity to travel to. All the new friendships I made with people from all over the world that I made is one of my greatest accomplishments from this trip, I felt like I did not have to limit myself to what my friends from Rollins wanted to do, I could make friends and enjoy time with them. It was a sweet surprise to see my family while I was in Spain I never felt homesick until the last few days, and having family visit helped me get over that homesick feeling. I would definitely recommend this program to all my friends interested in learning more Spanish, who plan on majoring, or minoring in Spanish. I would love to have the opportunity to come back to Spain. As a group we traveled to Candelario for a weekend. Which was an amazing experience to be away from the loud busy life of the city. While in Candelario some of the group went on a small hike up the mountain to a quiet stream, which was a blast. I had the chance to talk with some of my classmates that I hadn’t known very well, aswell as spending time with Alberto Prieto-Calixto and his family.
