From what I’ve experienced, I’ve acquired a newfound sense of appreciation from what everything has to offer- both big and small. Because what has once been overlooked before is now something I search for. Getting to travel to both small and larger cities has been unforgettable. I loved the grand architecture and how the people of Barcelona and Madrid brought life to the cities but I also became infatuated with the history and serenity of Candelario and Granadilla. In such a small town, I was able to do so much. I got to spend quality time with the people I cared about, explore our surroundings and just genuinely live in the moment. One of my favorite parts of the trip was hiking up a stream with fellow students. Once we reached the stream, and almost everyone decided to get in the water, I realized then that the other people around me were all here for the same reason. It was great being able to watch and have my own fun as I chatted with teachers and friends. And as much fun as it was to plan and partake in different activities and trips, I found myself truly relaxing here and enjoying the time I had.
