One of the most memorable culture activities for me was Candelario. My aunt lives in Spain and she didnt even know the city I was talking about when I told her we were going. it was so interesting to be in an actual ghost town. Im glad Alberto gave us those books to learn more about it and understand the history. There are more people living in my neighborhood in Florida than people in Candelario. I loved the small activities they had planned for us to further immerse ourselves in the experience. The chorizo museum was great, I love how so much history is centralized around meat there. Also, the hike was beautiful. It was so neat to see the town from a different perspective. Overall, it was an amazing experience that Im glad we had the opportunity to have thanks to this program. Without it, i definitely would’ve never gone in my lifetime or even have heard about it.
