The papers were signed, the plane was booked, and with less than a week until I left, everything was going great! It was my last day of work for the summer, and I had quite the stumble. I broke my elbow, got two stiches in my lip, and scraped up my knee up. This posed quite a challenge for packing…but I am blessed with a great mom and dad, who pretty much did all of it for me.
I was already nervous before this, seeing as I was going to EUROPE, which is crazy. It was hard to still wrap my mind around. I had to get used to a whole new currency, new food, new time zone, and a whole new campus. It was a weird mix of feelings, reminiscent of freshman year. I was about to make all new friends and experience a crazy semester. But I had also already seen the tough parts. I had been though midterms, and finals, and sleepless nights. This semester I get to do it again, but I also get to see the world on the weekends.
While there, I hope to see most of Germany, including Berlin, Munich, and Hamburg. I also would love to see a few other places like Prague, Amsterdam, Italy, and France. It would be so amazing to go to Disneyland Paris (since Rollins is basically next door to Disney Word).
I highly look forward to this experience, and can’t wait to bring my new knowledge back to Rollins, and to the US.
