Howdy!
It’s Manny again! I haven’t written in a bit but the second half of the semester over here has been quite hectic. Projects are coming up, internships projects are getting underway, and now it’s finally spring! To most that might seem as a great thing. The flowers are finally blooming and the trees are getting color again! To me, it just means a lot of tissues and praying that I survive through the night with my stuffed nose. Any change of the season can be dreadful to someone with allergies but spring holds a special place in our sinuses. You see, spring is when plants start pollinating and making new plants because of pollination. Because of this, thousands of little itty bitty seeds float around in the air and get stuck in the sinus cavity within the nose. And everything after that is just downhill.
Enough about icky spring though, let’s talk about London! As most people know, London is always wet. Like, every other day it drizzles or rains. To some that might be a bother. But not to a native Floridian/Puerto Rican! I miss the rain so much! Having it rain so much over here now that it’s spring just brings back memories from home. Who cares if I get wet and sick? I’m soaking and singing and dancing and enjoying the local music! As much as London has surprised me and shattered most of my expectations, this is the one thing that is exactly as how I envisioned it when I first arrived in January.
As much as I would love to keep writing about the absolutely marvelous weather and the totally not horrible traffic of London, I have to get to work. Being busy with writing a full script for my theatre class and doing research on communication patterns within a professional theatrical production is actually a lot of hard work! But at least I’m getting some very valuable skills out of it such as Photoshop. Honestly, it’s one of my favorite programs now! Anyways, see y’all soon! Probably tomorrow actually. Easter is coming soon and I have talk all about my preparations!
Love,
Manny
